Tabani Corp’s rich history dates back to 1885, when it was founded as M/s. H.A Ganny Brothers in Rangoon, Burma by Mr. Yacoob Abdul Ghanny, the current President’s grandfather. He was described as having “extensive dealings as an importer of piece-goods and hardware, and as an exporter of Burma produce, such as cutch, beans” (Wright, A., et al., 1910, Twentieth Century Impressions of Burma), due to which the company prospered in trade with Japan and European nations.
